That all that remained after the flood which affected more than a half of Romania. It is more than tragic what happened and what remain after all seems to bring many worries. Over 12000 families confronted the fury of waters. Aproximately 4000 houses were ERASED just like that. Many families sleep outside, under the sky, trying to defend what’s left of their goods that escaped the flood. The situation is real grave in fact, because they are people from villages, hardworkers of this country, now they missing any source of profit. Many of the household animals drowned, and animals represent everything for Romanian peasents. Everything they worked for and they gained in a life time, dissapeared in a week.
The danger factor is high now for the ones who live in the affected areas, because epidemies can outburst at anytime because of the infection medium and dead animals,not to mention the high temperatures…
In these hard times it could’ve been observed the efforts of the Romanian pple for helping the ones who need it. Romanian football players organised a friendly game with Brazil and also a t-shirt licitation. From these two, they saved almost 300 000 $. Also the Gov sent everyday 2000 Tones of food, The Church donated money, not to mention the milions of Romanians who sent clothes and money…
The sad thing is that many children who were affected by the flood, finished gymnasium and they were preparing for highschool, now after all these sad things, they don’t have a place to stay, don’t even have enough clothes, (and the winter is coming) they won’t be able to follow a right way in life…
Even though I don’t share any feelings for our president, Traian Basescu, I can say he got my attention with some words…he amazed me. When a worker said him that the flood is because of God he answered : “We always try to find the guilt somewhere up there, when we are full of sins” I can say that his words really put me on thinking..maybe because is too much truth in them.
Anyway, the situation is critical that why i don’t have much to say..i will let the pictures speak…
